What is CHWTSDF?
It stands for Common Hazardous Waste Treatment, Storage and Disposal Facility.
Does UPWMP have biomedical waste disposal facility?
Yes, UPWMP has obtained necessary permissions & license to operate Biomedical waste disposal facility.
Does UPWMP has Pre-processing Facility?
Yes, we have Alternate Fuel Resource Facility @ 500 Kg/Hour and sending AFR waste to Cement Industries.
What is a Procedure for Disposal of Hazardous Waste?
For disposing waste in UPWMP, waste generator must take membership of the facility; the membership procedure is as below
- Membership Form must be filled up with all the relevant details, process details are to be enclosed with membership form.
- JSPCB Consent OR a copy of the Application submitted to JSPCB for consent must be attached with membership form.
- Charted Accountant’s Certificate / Audited Balance sheet towards proof of investment should be enclosed.
- DD/Cheque in Favor of “Uttar Pradesh Waste Management Project” towards One Time Membership Deposit as per the Matrix (given below) plus Rs. should be furnished.
- After Completion of above formalities Membership would be granted.
- Members must send a sample of 1 Kg of each type of waste for Comprehensive Analysis (CA), this can be done at the time of submitting Membership Documents.
- UPWMP will send CA Quotation cum Pro-forma Invoice to Member, after payment of CA charges CA would be carried out, which takes on an average 10 days.
- Based on CA report Disposal Quotation along with Transportation rates would be sent to generator along with CA report and CA Tax Invoice.
- After approval of Quotation Member can start sending Waste to UPWMP.
- Members must call 2-3 days in advance for Vehicle booking.
How is transportation of Hazardous Waste carried out?
Transportation of Hazardous waste should be carried out in Authorized hazardous waste carrier UPWMP provides transportation services please call us on ——— Form No.8, 9 & 10 should be filled as per Hazardous Waste Management Handling & Transboundary Rules 2016.
Is CA (Comprehensive Analysis) Mandatory?
CA is mandatory as per CPCB guidelines.
What is FPA (Fingerprint Analysis)? Why it is carried out.
FPA stands for Fingerprint Analysis; it is carried out by drawing a sample from every waste consignment that UPWMP receives. It is carried out to ensure that waste properties comply with CA so that proper disposal of waste can be carried out.
What is Waste Discrepancy?
When FPA report of Particular waste doesn’t match with its Comprehensive Analysis (CA) report discrepancy arises, it is resolved after discussion with Member Industry. Fresh analysis (Analysis in presence of customer) can be carried out.

What are the charges for Comprehensive Analysis?
CA charges per sample are Rs.15000/- plus service tax as applicable
How to become a Member of CHWI TSDF?
The generator may also contact MBD team of Operator over phone 9305804612, 7040698551. A person from the MBD team would visit you to help in identifying various categories of hazardous waste and drawing a sample of hazardous waste for analysis purposes. He would hand over a copy of the text of Waste Off-take Agreement a tripartite agreement
What is the process for signing the Waste Off-take Agreement with us?
The Generator is required to submit a signed copy of Waste Off- take Agreement, Non- judicial stamp paper, copy of `Authorization` under The Hazardous & Other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016, Consents to Operate under The Water Act and The Air Act, a copy of latest Balance Sheet, etc. This agreement is signed on behalf of the operator followed by Generator.
What is the amount paid for membership?
Membership fees for TSDF are payable to UPWMP as per category of industry: Small Scale, Medium Scale and Large Scale, respectively. It is ₹1,50,000 for Large Scale, ₹75,000 for Medium Scale and ₹15,000 for Small Scale industry, respectively. GST is separately payable
